Muhammad Meeraj (highlighted in the video wearing blue gloves, red trunks, and white boxing boots) is a young college student and an inspiring professional boxer that I met at a boxing gym in PJ, Malaysia. I did some light mitt drills, and live jab defense and counter work with Meeraj in the ring. So I can tell you from personal experience that he is quite fast and punches hard. His appearance is deceptive in that you probably wouldn't peg him for a boxer if you passed by him on the street. Meeraj just doesn't fit the stereotypical look of a 'Bad Boy'. With his glasses on he strikes you more as an IT whiz kid.
Although Meeraj is a pro now (1-0), he is still quite green. But he has an excellent base for a coach to work with (great head movement and a balanced attack between working his opponent's head and body). On the flip side, his defense needs some improvement. All and all, I give Meeraj a B+ for his effort during his debut professional fight. With assertive training, he has the potential to become an A list fighter.
